bringing cohort studies to the bedside

search engine
for patient timelines for rapid phenotyping to build cohorts of
similar patients

In 2017, we obtained IRB approval and philanthropic support for a pilot of the green button vision.

methods that enable the informatics consult service
and wrote a
perspective
on why a “speciality service” (and not a physical button in the EHR) is the right approach for realizing our vision.
In 2019, we completed the pilot study.
In 2020, we released the
Advanced Cohort Engine
for searching longitudinal patient records, which made the service possible.
