  * In 2015, we outlined the steps in realizing the green button vision, and for [[https://www.futuremedicine.com/doi/full/10.2217/cer.15.12|bringing cohort studies to the bedside]].
  * In 2016, we built a [[https://www.youtube.com/embed/6oEFK24s8yU|search engine]] for patient timelines for rapid phenotyping to build cohorts of [[http://stanmed.stanford.edu/2016winter/on-the-button.html| similar patients]].
  * In 2017, we obtained IRB approval and philanthropic support for a pilot of the green button vision. [[http://tinyurl.com/StanfordGB|1 min video]].
  * In 2018, we outlined the [[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29396125|methods that enable the informatics consult service]] and wrote a [[https://www.nature.com/articles/s41746-019-0091-3| perspective]] on why a "speciality service" (and not a physical button in the EHR) is the right approach for realizing our vision.
  * In 2019, we completed the pilot study.
